Oliver Billet 6G72 Rods Designed by Ray Pampena

These are the same rods we run in our own engine and are proven to well over 1000AHWP.

Many times the ultimate strength of a rod in the 6G72 platform is not tested, but the wrist pin bushing width is the greatest weakness. Many of the popular rods for the platform are quite narrow in this regard and leave too much pin hanging out between the piston and the rod bushing. This starts to become an issue over 700AWHP or so, with high torque builds especially. These rods are specially design to be very thick where the pin bushing is and prevent wrist pin deflection and beating out the pin busing prematurely.
